"The honor was all mine."
On Oct. 17th I had the priveledge, nay the honor of sitting in on a great concert. Nicklecreek had come to town once again and yet again they had failed to disappoint.
If you like music (all kinds) then you may enjoy Nicklecreek. They are a bluesy, folky, bluegrass and everything inbetween band that make a lot of the pop singers of today look like poop!
They did a cover of Toxic that was hilarious. They actually played the whole song and I enjoyed it! Britney Spears ,or whatever your name is now, eat your heart out.
Not only did we get really good seats. (fourth row) At the end of their set they came back out for an encore that just shook the ceiling with applause. They asked the people to come forward and sit on the stage like it was story time. My wife and I jumped at the chance and were within 2 feet of the group! After they had all the people that could fit on the stage they decided to unplug and play all acoustic. It was astounding!! The riffs, and solos, and vamping was just too much!! They are virtuosos!
Not only did the performance hit every note correctly, they are without a doubt some of the best showmen out there. Truly a spectacular show! If you have the chance and the money (28 bucks not too shabby you get more than your money's worth!) go and see them you will not be disappointed. Even if you don't like this kind of music if nothing else you will see what a real musician can do while pondering over and over again, can a man really move his fingers that fast!? Yes he can!!
